Tonight is the start of the final season of “Nashville.” US Magazine shared that Charles Esten is talking about Connie Britton and the finale of the show. He shared that they have only filmed about half of the season so far. He went on to explain a bit more.

“But there is a moment I can’t say too much about that … all I’ll say about it is that it’s utterly unexpected. You’re going one direction emotionally, with Deacon, and then all of a sudden you’re completely caught off guard. When I first read it, I was like, oh that’s 180 degree turn, and it’s going to be very difficult to do that.”

It turns out that Charles Esten is actually still really close to Connie Britton and her son. They became great friends while he was filming “Nashville” with her. These two still text all the time and it sounds like their time on the show together helped him to form a great friendship. He also said that she is really funny.

Don’t miss watching the final season of “Nashville” when new episodes air on Thursday nights on CMT. Fans are sad to hear this is the final season, but hopefully, they give everyone the closure they are looking for when “Nashville” comes to an end.
